This is a Propagandhi cover song called The State Lottery off their game-changing album Less Talk, More Rock (1996). The sound clip intro was updated from the original Noam Chomsky clip to a more recent Chris Hedges clip. This song and band greatly influenced us since the 90s. The theme of the presidential election is not only timely, it's still despicably relevant today. If only we all listened and acted upon calls to action like this then, maybe we wouldn't be so fucked today. "This system cannot be reformed," clearly. Fuck Trump, this entire regime, their corporate cronies, this plutocracy, this capitalist nightmare, fascists, bigots, and all those getting in the way of us getting free. Step aside or continue to get run over by progress while you whine and cry playing the victim like a good little bootlicking apologist.
Proceeds of Bandcamp sales will be donated to Down Home NC (
www.downhomenc.org). They are a very active and effective organization doing great work on the ground to build power in poor and minority communities.
"All are welcome in Down Home North Carolina.
We unite to build the power and raise the voices of working people in small-town and rural North Carolina in order to take action on the issues that matter to us.
By weaving together our different experiences, we can shape a democracy that serves working people, where our labor is valued, and our food, water, and land are healthy.
Come on in y’all, we’ve got work to do."
