The irony of a system of private corporations operating under lax to no regulation, oversight, and accountability are poisoning us, so we feed the same system to get better in a reactionary manner at all costs is not lost on us. They don't want universal health care for all because they know what they've done to us and the long term consequences of doing so. As per usual, they push this all on the consumer to deal with and pay for. Case in point, Duke Energy spills coal ash across our state, gets a symbolic fine and a lip service "berating," yet push the state to raise our rates to offset the costs.
